will.i.am on Black Eyed Peas: 'It has to be amazing or there's no point'

will.i.am has cast doubt over the future of the Black Eyed Peas.

The rapper admitted that the four-piece will only regroup if they can do something original, and are currently in the process of deciding where to go next.

"We're doing some configuration as far as what do we do as the Peas next," will.i.am told Capital FM. "It was that whole spark of, what do we do next?

"I know we have to either emerge with something from the underground or do something no-one has thought of.

"Either it's amazing or I don't get it. If it doesn't spark that conversation, then there isn't any point."

Black Eyed Peas last released an album back in 2010, with their sixth studio collection going to number six in the US and eight in the UK.

will.i.am recently announced plans to release his new single 'It's My Birthday' later this year, which features Cody Wise.
