Jeff Lemire and Michael DeForge are among the winners of the prizes honouring the best in Canadian comics.
Michael DeForge's 'Ant Comic'
DeForge took the 'Webcomics Creator' prize for Ant Comic after dominating the Ignatz Award nominations earlier in August.
Lemire received the 'Cartoonist' award for his work on Sweet Tooth and Top Shelf's The Underwater Welder.
Jane, le renard & moi's Isabelle Arsenault was named best artist while her writing partner Fanny Britt was also honoured.
The 2013 Joe Shuster Awards were presented at Toronto Fan Expo.
