Strictly Come Dancing or X Factor: Which are you more excited about?

In just over 24 hours' time, The X Factor returns to our screens with more desperate singers, sob stories and an extra large helping of Sharon Osbourne.

One week later, Bruce Forsyth and Tess Daly will be introducing the latest celebrities preparing to shimmy, shake and cha cha cha on series 11 of Strictly Come Dancing.

It's the time of year where reality TV fans cancel their weekends until Christmas and prepare to dive head first into a ocean of glitter, phone scandals and Louis Walsh talking utter nonsense. BBC One and ITV's Saturday night behemoths are back and are ready to fight it out once again for your affections.

But which of the two are you most excited about?

X Factor had brought back Sharon Osbourne, closed auditions and Simon Cowell is promising us something "absolutely incredible" for series 10.

Meanwhile, Strictly has started to confirm the first celebrity dancers, with Susanna Reid and Vanessa Feltz the first names on the teamsheet. Hardly A-list, but we're promised bigger and better things are to come.

Hopefully the BBC and ITV will see sense this year and avoid any major clashes between the two entertainment shows in the schedules - although they are already overlapping slightly in week one, which isn't a good sign - but if it does come down to a head-to-head battle, we want to know which show you would choose.

Are you an X Factor diehard? Or are you a Strictly loyalist?
