Price is pitching the microblogging service to film and television studios as "social soundtrack" that will enhance the marketing of such businesses, Variety reports.

Twitter has made strides in this area in the past, with initiatives such as promoted tweets and Amplify, which enabled marketing partners to put out video adverts embedded within tweets.
"All entertainment brands are working with Twitter, but they're just scratching the surface," said Prince.
"In my first two weeks, I'm going to meet with key entertainment brands to find out what exactly they're doing with Twitter today and where they want to go."
Although Prince's role is related to film and television, Twitter was quick to point out that it has no plans to become a media platform and is not seeking cross-licensing deals.
