"Once Upon a Time" has found its Ariel in JoAnna Garcia Swisher, TV Guide was the first to report.
The iconic "Little Mermaid" character will first appear in Episode 6 of "Once Upon a Time's" third season, aptly titled "Ariel." According to TV Line, she'll guest star in at least two episodes and will first appear in another land, not Storybrooke.
As one of Disney's most popular characters, fans have been anticipating the arrival of Ariel since the beginning of the show, with creators Eddy Kitsis and Adam Horowitz revealing they had "ideas for a lot of characters like Ariel," as far back as the start of Season 2.
At Comic-Con, "Once Upon a Time" revealed the impending arrival of Ariel with a teaser clip in which the mermaid steals Grumpy's fork and swims away.
