The singer picks up nods in six categories, including 'Best Track' ('Where Are We Now?'), 'Best Video' for 'The Stars (Are Out Tonight)' and 'Best Album' for The Next Day .

Bowie has also been nominated for 'Best Solo Artist', 'Best Act in the World Today' and 'Best Event' for 'David Bowie at the V&A'.
The star is followed by Daft Punk, Arctic Monkeys and Foals, who each have three nominations.
Ellie Goulding, who has been nominated for 'Best Solo Artist' and 'Best Track' for her recent number one 'Burn', said: "'It means so much to be nominated for a Q Award, I have read and loved Q magazine for as long as I can remember. It's an honour to be nominated in these categories with these nominees."

The magazine's Senior Editor Matt Mason added: ''It's been another unforgettable year for music, and the nominations reflect the breadth and brilliance of artists from the UK and beyond.
"The return of David Bowie proved that, even in the digital age, popstars retain the ability to completely amaze and surprise us, while the phenomenal success of Daft Punk showed that you can still reach right across the globe with one great song.
"With Glastonbury back on the calendar, we've also enjoyed a summer of outstanding live performances. All the Q Awards nominees have helped ensure that 2013 has been an incredible year for music."
The Q Awards take place in London in October. The event will be hosted by comedian Al Murray.
