Ranbir Kapoor 's upcoming Jagga Jasoos is to be a joint venture with Disney.

The project is described as a Bollywood comic musical about the adventures of a young detective.

"We are confident we have a slate of movies that capture the essence of the Disney brand - heartwarming, uplifting and fun for the whole family," Siddharth Roy Kapur, managing director of studios for Disney UTV, told Variety .
The new movie is expected to start shooting in November, with Katrina Kaif cast opposite Kapoor.
The film has been earmarked as India's first Disney-branded franchise, with the possibility of merchandising deals and spinoffs including comics, TV and mobile phone apps.
Directed by Anurag Basu, Jagga Jasoos is to release under the Disney-UTV banner.
