The 'Roar' singer suggested that Mayer should offer his mind to science after his death to allow people to understand his talent.

She told Billboard : "He literally is a genius, as is evident from his songwriting.
"I always tell him, 'Darling, you know I'm going to have to give your mind to science after you've passed, because we're going to have to understand how all these sparks work'."
The couple recorded a duet for Mayer's latest LP Paradise Valley, which was released earlier this year.

Perry is currently preparing to release her third studio album Prism next month. Lead single 'Roar' topped the charts in both the US and UK upon release.
Prism will be released in the UK on October 21 and in the US a day later.
