Made in Chelsea Binky hits back at critics: "We're not hurting anyone"

Made in Chelsea's Binky Felstead has hit back at critics of the E4 series.

The star said that people don't understand how much "hard work" goes into making the show, from the work of producers to the sound team.

She told Digital Spy: "I don't think people understand how much hard work it is and it's not just us. It's mainly the producers and the sound guys who are working a massive amount of hours to make the shots look beautiful."

Felstead addressed the criticism that the show received when it won a BAFTA earlier this year for 'Reality and Constructed Factual'.

"It's a lot of hard work and it's quite scary putting your life on camera," she continued. "I think people can easily criticise it, but we just say 'Whatever, we got a BAFTA' and I think that says something in itself.

"I don't even have to bother trying to say anything about it. We got a BAFTA, have you got one? If you have got one then good for you, I'm not going to criticise whatever you do.

"It's a very different type of show. Obviously, reality TV is growing bigger and bigger and we're just one of those lucky ones that have grown and got big.

"We appreciate everything that's happened to us but we're all shocked about getting a BAFTA. We're all very grateful for what we've got. We're not snobs or w**kers. We're not hurting anyone. Alan Sugar needs to pipe down, the bitter old man.

"I just think they're a bit small-headed and I haven't got time for them. I don't like small-headed people, I think they're a bit pathetic," she added.

Felstead recently teased more drama between Lucy Watson and Spencer Matthews in the upcoming sixth series of Made in Chelsea.

She described the new series as "intense", adding that the show is "getting better and better".

Made in Chelsea returns to E4 for a sixth series later this year.
