The service is made up of some 150 royalty-free music tracks to put on user videos.
YouTube is hoping the library will be a solution for creators trying to avoid having their videos pulled due to copyright violation.
Content makers can now search for tracks from the video manager page with a choice of sorting options from genre to mood or instrument.
The video sharing website intends to grow the number of tracks available by urging musicians to get their work added.
Tracks can also be downloaded as MP3s and are permitted for use on anything for creative purposes, even if it is outside of YouTube.
