CBS News' Clarissa Ward spoke out on Wednesday about the role of female journalists in Syria.
Last month, a Guardian article wondered, "Can girls even find Syria on a map?" and prompted journalists to sound off on the important reporting that women are doing in the country.
Ward — who has snuck into Syria multiple times and whose coverage won two Emmys on Tuesday — shook her hands in frustration about the piece on Wednesday. She was on a "CBS News This Morning" panel with Palmer, who reported from Syria earlier this year, and Condoleezza Rice.
"I think that women are really dominating in terms of the Syria coverage we've seen," Ward said, adding that women journalists have access to other female sources, which male journalists often do not.
