Brand manager Omebline Wallon revealed the figure during an interview with MCV , also confirming that the company is increasing its media presence to promote Assassin's Creed 4: Black Flag .

"The Assassin's Creed franchise has already sold over 6.6 million units in the UK and over the past few years it has become a staple in gamers' diaries," he told the publication.
"Since we announced Black Flag in March, we have supported it at every beat of the campaign. We will be increasing our media presence as we near launch."
Assassin's Creed 4: Black Flag will launch in North America on October 29 and in Europe on November 1 for PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and Wii U.
The PlayStation 4 version will arrive on November 15 in North America and on November 29 in Europe, while the Xbox One edition will also see a release in November and the PC port in the fourth quarter of this year.
