Instagram and Vine confirmed for Windows Phone 8

Nokia has confirmed that Instagram and Vine are both set for release on Windows Phone 8.

Announced at its Nokia World conference in Abu Dhabi, the apps have been quite serious omissions from Windows Phone's app offerings for quite some time.

The move is also an attempt by Nokia to bolster the number of quality apps on Lumia devices.

Little is known about exactly how the apps will function on Windows Phone yet, but expect more on them when they are unveiled "in the coming weeks".

Nokia has also unveiled a brand new 6-inch screen phone, the Lumia 1520, which is the most powerful Nokia Lumia device yet.
