Reporters inside the U.S. Capitol building were forced to hole up when a shooting incident took place there on Thursday.
The Capitol Police issued a "shelter in place" order, mandating everyone to stay where they were.
Journalists tweeted about the atmosphere as they waited for the incident to end:
Was outside and screamed at by cop to get in building... Unsure what's going on.

Those of us inside the Capitol are very much relying on reporting from those outside as we abide the shelter in place order.
