Seann William Scott has signed on for the upcoming Jackie Chan film Skiptrace.

The American Pie star joins Chan in the martial arts comedy from Paranorman director Sam Fell.

Flushed Away filmmaker Fell makes his live-action directorial debut for the project.
Skiptrace is centred on Bennie Black (Chan), whose daughter is caught up with a crime syndicate run by his nemesis.
Scott will play a gambler named Connor Watts who helps Black after being brought back to Hong Kong to aid the investigation.
Exclusive Media's co-chairmen Nigel Sinclair and Guy East stated: "Being part of great movies such as Role Models, The Rundown and the iconic American Pie franchise will position Seann perfectly as Jackie Chan's co-star."
Production on Skiptrace will begin on January 13, 2014.
