'The X Factor' Louis Walsh: 'Sam Callahan is most improved'

The X Factor's Louis Walsh has praised Sam Callahan for his performance on tonight's (October 19) Live Show.

The singer - who is mentored by Walsh - performed a stripped-back rendition of Jason Mraz's 'I Won't Give Up' as part of Love and Heartache week on the ITV series.

On The Xtra Factor, Sinitta asked Walsh which of his Boys he thought had improved the most this week.

He replied: "I think Sam. He works all day everyday, he's a dream contestant."

"He's a dream to work with unlike you," he then added jokingly.

Earlier in the evening, Walsh told Callahan: "Tonight proved why you should be here, you are the hardest-working competitor I know and you are a dream to work with."

He also revealed that he would sign Kingsland Road if he had the choice between the two boybands in the competition.

"Rough Copy are ready-made but I think Kingsland Road have got a definite future as well," he said. "I'd probably work better with Kingsland."

Kingsland Road lost out in this tonight's 8-minute Flash Vote and will now perform in tomorrow night's (October 20) sing-off.

The X Factor continues tomorrow night at 8pm on ITV.
