Last Friday (Dec. 6), Emma Stone and Bill Murray surprised troops stationed at Joint Base Pearl Harbor–Hickam in Hawaii. The actors have been filming the latest star–studded project by Cameron Crowe on the island nation and popped over to the base for the annual holiday tower–lighting ceremony.

The two looked adorable in matching santa hats and leis as they thanked the troops for being so welcoming and wished everyone a happy holiday. Murray joked that Hawaii seems to be a wonderful place to be based as he wished the crowd of thousands a happy St. Nicholas Day. The actor instructed the men and women to leave their shoes outside so that St. Nick could bring them candy.

Sounds like a lovely way to wish our servicemen and women a Mele Kalikimaka!
