First "Today," now Fox News?
Just one day after NBC's morning show was forced to apologize forairing a video mocking the sign language interpreter at Nelson Mandela's memorial service, Fox News has done the same thing.
"Fox & Friends" co-host Brian Kilmeade made meaningless sign language gestures Thursday morning while reporting that the "fake" sign language interpreter is now claiming he had a schizophrenic episode on stage.
Fox News staffers could be heard off-camera laughing while Kilmeade flailed his arms aimlessly.
NBC's "Today" apologized on Wednesday for a similar video in which the show's producer also made fake signs while the co-hosts were talking.
Viewers once again expressed their disbelief on Twitter:
It was only a matter of time before Fox figured out how to offend the Deaf community http://t.co/G45YjMrE3e via @grouchybagels

When reporting on sign language controversy, Fox thinks it's hilarious to just wave their hands around http://t.co/sKnfMcYnuS

@daveweigel @MattGertz Why would Fox News mock people who are deaf? You'd think their biggest fans would be those that can't hear them.
