Jerry Bruckheimer and Brett Ratner have signed on to an upcoming Beverly Hills Cop sequel.
It was rumoured in September that Bruckheimer was also poised to return as producer on the movie.
Star Eddie Murphy revealed earlier this year that he was attached to reprise his role as wisecracking detective Axel Foley in a fourth instalment of the popular '80s movie series.

According to Deadline , Paramount Pictures and Bruckheimer have signed a three-year first-look deal, beginning in April 2014.
Under the deal, Bruckheimer will produce Beverly Hills Cop 4, while Ratner is attached to direct after he completes his upcoming Hercules.
Hercules finishes shooting in July, while work on a Beverly Hills Cop 4 script is still in process.
