The Division trailer looks at next-generation Snowdrop Engine

The Division has been given a new trailer by Ubisoft .

The latest video explores the game's next-generation Snowdrop Engine.




The narrator explains how the game's representation of New York City is enhanced by a dynamic day and night cycle.


It goes on to explore the realistic lighting and particle system, as well as the game's changing weather effects.


Announced during Ubisoft's E3 conference, The Division will be released in the second half of 2014.


Ubisoft's next-gen MMO will be supported with exclusive Xbox One content before and after the game's launch.

It will release alongside a companion app, which will give players the opportunity to support teammates in a number of different ways.

Tablet players will be able to highlight enemy positions and send drones on scouting missions, for example.
