David Cameron's 5 favourite movies include Lawrence of Arabia, Shrek 2

David Cameron has revealed his five favourite films.

The prime minister listed British classics Lawrence of Arabia and Where Eagles Dare among his top movies.

Cameron also named Sergio Leone's classic Western The Good, the Bad and the Ugly, romantic classic Casablanca and Steven Spielberg's Oscar-winning World War II drama Schindler's List among his top five.


Additionally, Cameron gave special mention to "the last ten minutes of Shrek 2", in his recent interview with the Daily Mail .

Speaking about his acting past at school, the prime minister said: "I only did a little bit. My brother [QC Alex Cameron] was the actor in all the school plays, and then at Bristol University, and he did the Edinburgh Fringe every year.

"He went to train at Lecoq School in France. He was a proper actor."


He continued: "At school I had a walk-on part in The Tempest. And then a play called The Roses of Eyam - about the Great Plague. I enjoyed it but it wasn't really my thing."
