It was announced earlier in the month that the Canadian rapper would serve as both musical guest and celebrity host on the long-running sketch comedy show.

Several promo spots featuring Drake and SNL cast member Bobby Moynihan were released in anticipation of the programme's post-hiatus January 18 episode.
Drake's appearance on the show has met with mostly positive reviews, as has the debut of cast member Sasheer Zamata.
Zamata was revealed earlier this month as the first black female cast member to join the series in six years, in the wake of criticism over a lack of diversity.
She joined Drake in the first sketch of the episode, in which the 'Take Care' rapper, who is half Jewish, recalls his bar mitzvah.
