One month before Jimmy Fallon takes over The Tonight Show, the 39-year-old unveiled the first guests for his inaugural The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.
Will Smith will join Fallon as the show's first guest Feb. 17, with musical guest U2, Fallon announced Sunday afternoon during his winter Television Critics Association press tour session.
U2, Oscar nominated for best original song for "Ordinary Love" from Mandela: A Long Walk to Freedom, is releasing a new album later this year. Smith next stars in Warner Bros.' Focus.

In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Fallon's former Saturday Night Live "Weekend Update" co-anchor Tina Fey was hopeful that she would appear on his first Tonight Show.
"Oh, I hope so. I'm hoping that the first Tonight Show will open with me singing the national anthem. I haven't pitched that to anyone. Maybe the French national anthem? I could be the musical guest," Fey told THR prior to co-hosting the Golden Globes.
It is unclear whether Fey will be one of Fallon's first Tonight Show guests, though Fallon said that the musical guests of the first three weeks of the show have already been booked. He also hinted that that they will be bringing the Tonight Show to Los Angeles for a few weeks out of the year.

Fallon also addressed the possibility of frequent collaborator Justin Timberlake, currently on a worldwide trek supporting his 20/20 Experience double album, appearing on the Tonight Show.
"Whenever he's available to play," Fallon said. "He's always great to play with."
Earlier in the day, NBC revealed the guest lineup for Jay Leno's final week, with Fallon scheduled to appear Feb. 3.
The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon premieres Feb. 17 on NBC.
