Danielle Panabaker and Rick Cosnett have been cast in The CW's new superhero pilot The Flash.
The CW series, based on the DC comics, follows the origin story of Barry Allen/The Flash, "a Central City assistant police forensics investigator who arrives in Starling to look into a series of unexplained robberies that may have a connection to a tragedy in his past".

This week's DVD, Blu-ray releases: 'Green Lantern', 'Rio'
The pair will join Grant Gustin and Jesse L Martin in the show, reports Deadline . Gustin will lead the pilot as Barry Allen aka The Flash.

Panabaker will play a bioengineering expert named Caitlin Snow, who lost her fiancé during a lab explosion.
Cosnett will play the mysterious Detective Eddie Thawne, who is new to the Central City Police Department.
Gustin previously portrayed Barry Allen/The Flash on CW superhero series Arrow, which is currently in its second season.
