The illustration depicts the returning Peter Parker in his classic costume, serving as a reminder to readers that the issue marks the return of the original Spider-Man.

Marvel previously killed off Parker in the Ultimate Universe and had the villainous Doctor Octopus inhabit his body for more than 30 issues.
Written by Dan Slott and illustrated by Humberto Ramos, Amazing Spider-Man #1 is released in April.
