HONG KONG – Frozen has pulled in $29.4 million (￥3 billion) in its first 10 days in Japan, with an $8.5 million (￥872 million) take on Saturday and Sunday, up 14 percent from its opening weekend.
The Disney movie's first weekend itself had marked the biggest bow of the year so far in Japan.
Disney Studios Japan is predicting its final tally will top $97.5 million (￥10 billion), which may lead it to overtake Toy Story 3 to become the studio's biggest-ever animated release in the Japanese market.

Toy Story 3 took 12 days to hit the ￥3 billion mark and finished with ￥10.8 billion, or $105 million at current exchange rates.
Frozen earlier this month also broke several South Korean box-office records. It became the first animated feature and the second imported film to cross 10 million admissions in the country.
