Darren Aronofsky 's Noah has added a disclaimer to appease religious opponents.
"The film is inspired by the story of Noah," it reads.
Christian groups had objected to Aronofsky's adaptation, which introduces fantasy elements and expands the short tale into a full-length feature.

The adaptation of the Old Testament story features a message saying that the film is not a verbatim adaptation of the myth.
"The film is inspired by the story of Noah," it reads.
"While artistic license has been taken, we believe that this film is true to the essence, values, and integrity of a story that is a cornerstone of faith for millions of people worldwide.
"The Biblical story of Noah can be found in the book of Genesis."

The National Religious Broadcasters group suggested the compromise.
Russell Crowe, Emma Watson, Ray Winstone, Jennifer Connelly, Logan Lerman and Sir Anthony Hopkins star in the movie.
