Google Search for Android has granted users in-app access to their device's camera via its latest update.
Users can shoot photo or video content on the spot by uttering "OK Google" followed by either "take a photo" or "take a video".

The 'OK Google' voice command can be used to capture a photo or video instantly, without closing the search app or manually opening the snapper software.
Users can shoot photo or video content on the spot by uttering "OK Google" followed by either "take a photo" or "take a video".
"The first home run in T-ball, the surprise proposal, or just that gorgeous sunset... Sometimes the perfect photo passes you by as you fumble with your phone to open the camera app," said Google in a blog post.
Google has been gradually expanding its "OK Google" feature since it debuted with the US release of the Moto X last year, with the function commonly used for search, gaining directions and sending messages.
The latest update to the Google Search app requires Android 4.1 or higher.
