Marvel's Agent Carter TV show to be 13-part limited series?

Marvel's Agent Carter TV series is still in the works.

The writers behind the planned Captain America spinoff told Collider that the first season - yet to be green-lit - would likely span 13 episodes.

"[13 episodes] is how this is envisioned, maybe even less," Stephen McFeely said. "It would be a limited series - you would wrap up that one bad guy and that one case, and then if you like it, we'll do it again next year."

Agent Carter would be set in the mid-1940s, with Hayley Atwell reportedly interested in reprising her title role.

The series would also feature a recurring role for Tony Stark's father Howard, previously played by Dominic Cooper in the two Captain America big-screen outings.

Earlier this year, ABC network boss Paul Lee described the Agent Carter pilot script penned by McFeely and Christopher Markus as "really good".

"That certainly has a chance to be on the network," he added.

Marvel is currently airing one TV series - Agents of SHIELD - on ABC and also has four new shows and a mini-series in development with Netflix, featuring characters such as Daredevil and Luke Cage.
