Stan Lee has admitted that Marvel Comics villain Ultron is unknown to him.
"I don't have any idea who the hell Ultron is," Lee told the publication. "He was a character developed after I stopped being involved in the Avengers story."

The Spider-Man and X-Men co-creator told Playboy that the character was not introduced to the Avengers series until after he had stepped down as writer.
"I don't have any idea who the hell Ultron is," Lee told the publication. "He was a character developed after I stopped being involved in the Avengers story."
Ultron was created by Roy Thomas and John Buscema in 1968, making his debut in Avengers #54 that year.
The character will serve as the villain in Joss Whedon's upcoming Avengers: Age of Ultron , which arrives in cinemas on May 1, 2015.
Lee's run on Avengers concluded in 1966 following the release of issue #35.
