Watch Dogs adds new content, campaign 'takes 35-40 hours to finish'

The Watch Dogs story campaign lasts for upwards of 40 hours, according to creative director Jonathan Morin.

Responding to questions on Twitter, Morin said that while the upcoming open-world game is likely to take the average player between 35-40 hours to finish, fully completing the game would take 100 hours.

In a follow-up tweet, Morin said that these estimates don't include the extra time taken up by online play.

Elsewhere, Ubisoft has confirmed that the game has received new content since last year's delay.

The addition of new content has seen the game's certificate changed from MA15+ to R18+ in Australia.

"The entire development team has been working hard to polish and fine tune Watch Dogs in order to deliver a truly memorable open world game," reads an Ubisoft statement.

"In parallel, the extra time also allowed the team to include a bit of additional content."

Watch Dogs is in development for PS4, PS3, Xbox One, Xbox 360, PC and Wii U. It will make its debut on May 27.

The Wii U version has been further delayed in order to focus resources.
