Varun Dhawan: 'Message from The Rock is my biggest fanboy moment'

Varun Dhawan has said that he had a fanboy moment when The Rock complimented him on social media.

Hollywood action superstar Dwayne Johnson praised Dhawan after seeing his impersonation of the Hollywood star on a TV show.

"I can't wait to see this! Keep hearing it's amazing. It damn well better be!' tweeted The Rock.

Reacting to the message, Dhawan told The Times of India : "He is my hero. This is the biggest fanboy moment of my life. I have watched him through my childhood.

"For him to look forward to my work and mention me is crazy. In school, my seniors used to make me imitate him and today, he has acknowledged me."

Dhawan, who made his acting debut in Karan Johar's Student of the Year, is directed by his father David Dhawan in Main Tera Hero .

The film, which also stars Nargis Fakhri and Ileana D'Cruz, releases on April 4.
