The 5.5-inch Quad HD display comes with a resolution of 2560 x 1440 pixels and 538ppi, making the device a strong competitor against the latest products from Samsung, Sony and HTC.
With an ultra-thin bezel, almost 77% of the smartphone's front is taken up by its screen - much like its predecessor, the G2 - while the phone's design is given a metallic finish and measures 8.9mm thick.
Among the top-end specs, the G3 packs a 2.5GHz quad-core Snapdragon 801 processor, as well as a choice of 16GB of storage space and 2GB of RAM or storage doubled to 32GB and 3GB of RAM.
A 13-megapixel camera is also on board with laser focusing and optical image stabilisation, topped off with a sizeable 3000mAh battery and added support for 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, NFC and USB 2.0.
Announcing the device earlier today (May 27), LG promoted the G3's redesigned user interface using the motto "Simple is the new smart".
An advanced personal assistant called Smart Notice is also featured, providing the owner with suggestions and recommendations based on their activities, phone usage patterns and location.
If you declined a call earlier, Smart Notice will remind you and ask if you would like to call back. The feature will also ask you if you would like to remove some unused files and apps to save space.
The LG G3 will be available in Metallic Black, Silk White, Shine Gold, Moon Violet and Burgundy Red from tomorrow (May 28) in South Korea and will reach the UK on July 1.
