The 48-year-old actor will appear in the fourth season of the legal drama.
McDonough is set to portray the character Sean Cahill, who is described as a SEC investigator, Deadline reports.
The drama's Eric Woodall (Zeljko Ivanek) will enlist Cahill to uncover any wrongdoing at Pearson Specter.
Suits season four will debut on USA on June 11.
McDonough can be seen next in Paul Blart: Mall Cop 2 and To Appomattox.
