2013's event hosted by Ant & Dec , Phillip Schofield, Holly Willoughby, Christine Bleakley and Paddy McGuinness attracted 6.1 million viewers and collected over £5.1m for charity.

The festive appeal has raised £15 million for charities since it started in 2011.

UK charities applied to become a Text Santa beneficiary earlier in the year, and the six selected for the 2014 campaign are Alzheimer's Society, Guide Dogs, Marie Curie Cancer Care, Teenage Cancer Trust, Together for Short Lives and WellChild.
100% of viewer donations will go to these charities.
