The Big Bang Theory is best-performing US scripted show

The Big Bang Theory has been revealed as US TV's best-performing show on the commercial broadcast networks.

The CBS comedy achieved an average 6.2 rating in the coveted 18-49 demographic during the 2013-14 season.

NBC's The Voice finishes in second place with 4.6, followed by ABC's Modern Family and Grey's Anatomy with 4.5.

The Blacklist, How I Met Your Mother and Scandal also feature in the top ten.

CBS drama NCIS is the most-watched show on US TV overall, but based on the 18-49 demographic, it achieved a 3.3 score.
