The Normal Heart: Julia Roberts and Jim Parsons on Why This HBO Film Is So Important

The Normal Heart makes its HBO debut on Sunday, May 25 and it's not to be missed. With an all-star cast and hailing from acclaimed writer Larry Kramer and Emmy winner Ryan Murphy , The Normal Heart is based on the 1985 play of the same name and chronicles the AIDS epidemic in America in the 1980s.

"I think that it's really important for not just younger gay people, but younger people in general to see the fight that took place, as it were, to get to where we are," Emmy winner Jim Parsons told E! News' Alicia Quarles at the premiere of The Normal Heart. "The struggle that took place that allows me to in peace and comfort walk this red carpet with my partner."
