Coronation Street: Michelle's fury seen by 6.8m in Friday ratings

Coronation Street was Friday's top-rated soap (June 6) as Steve confessed all to Michelle, overnight figures show.

6.78m (38.0%) watched at 7.30pm on ITV and 198k (1.0%) on +1 as a furious Michelle walked out on Steve after he revealed that he knew about Peter and Tina's affair for weeks. 6.7m (33.7%) returned at 8.30pm and 291k (1.5%) on +1 as Michelle and Rob vowed to focus on running the factory for Carla.

Sandwiched between both Coronation Street episodes, tribute documentary Farewell Tina - which looked back at Michelle Keegan's best moments on the cobbles - interested 2.79m (15.1%) at 8pm and 267k (1.4%) on +1.

EastEnders managed 5.48m (29.5%) at 8pm on BBC One as Billy and Honey finally reached a compromise over William and Janet. BBC Three's repeat screening secured 551k (3.6%) at 10.30pm.


Emmerdale attracted 5.01m (31.0%) at 7pm on ITV with the aftermath of Sam's big mistake.

Hollyoaks grabbed 653k (4.6%) at 6.30pm on Channel 4 as Phoebe considered exposing Nancy and Robbie's secret connection, while E4's first look claimed 479k (3.0%) at 7pm and 128k (0.7%) on +1.

Over on Channel 5, Neighbours entertained 501k (8.7%) at 1.45pm and 648k (5.7%) at 5.30pm, while Home and Away appealed to 179k (3.1%) at 1.15pm, 499k (3.9%) at 6pm and 320k (2.3%) with 5*'s first look at 6.30pm.
