Jeremy Renner has confirmed he will be appearing in Mission: Impossible 5.

After being asked if he would be interested in starring in a second season of hit show True Detective, he said: "I'm kind of strapped time-wise doing Avengers 2, and Mission: Impossible 5 is rearing its head, and then they want to do another Bourne movie."

Speaking to Yahoo! , the actor said he would reprise his role as William Brandt in the fifth instalment of the series.

After being asked if he would be interested in starring in a second season of hit show True Detective, he said: "I'm kind of strapped time-wise doing Avengers 2, and Mission: Impossible 5 is rearing its head, and then they want to do another Bourne movie."
Renner will be joining previous cast mates Tom Cruise and Simon Pegg in the latest sequel, but it is not yet known whether Paula Patton will return to portray Jane Carter.
Cruise recently revealed that the film will be shot in London later this year.
Mission: Impossible 5 will open in the US on December 25, 2015 and in the UK on Boxing Day (December 26), 2015.
