Persona 4: The Golden Animation begins on Thursday, July 10 and will be available on streaming services such as Aniplex, Hulu, Crunchyroll and Daisuk.
The anime retells the events of Atlus 's role-playing game, as Yu Narukami moves to the town of Inaba and investigates with his new friends a string of murders as well as the mysterious TV world known as the Midnight Channel.
Persona 4 Golden is a remastered version of the PS2 classic, adding new features and story elements and introducing the character of Marie, a resident of the Velvet Room.
Marie will also appear in The Golden Animation.
Persona 5 is currently in development, along with spinoffs Persona 4: Dancing All Night and Persona 4 Arena Ultimax .
Also announced last year was Persona Q: Shadow of the Labyrinth, a dungeon crawler crossover title containing characters from both Persona 3 and Persona 4.
