Ride Along 2 will reportedly bring the characters to Miami for a new adventure.
Jeong has signed up to play a woman-crazy computer hacker who becomes invaluable to the criminal case at the centre of the film, according to The Hollywood Reporter .
The actor is well-known for playing psychotic Spanish teacher Ben Chang in Community , and will also soon star in a medical comedy project for NBC.
Other new additions to the Ride Along franchise include The Newsroom's Olivia Munn and Benjamin Bratt.
