The move comes as part of refreshed SIM-only plans launched by the network operator, which also fixes other 08 numbers such as 084 and 087 at 5p per minute.
The offer does not extend to existing SIM-only tariffs, meaning that customers will have to take out a new deal.
Three wants to give customers a greater choice of data allowances too, and will now offer 500MB, 1GB, 2GB, 4GB and all-you-can-eat data.
In addition, the company is providing spending tools, allowing customers to set limits to avoid going over their allowance.
"People want to be able to enjoy their devices without worrying about bill shock choice and control with their contract to help them protect themselves from bill shock," said Three's marketing director Tom Malleschitz.
"They'll also benefit from free 0800 numbers and low rates for other 08 numbers and, with Feel at Home, customers can use the internet and call and text home while in the USA, France and 14 other countries."
