Tulisa Contostavlos 's drugs trial has collapsed, a judge told the court on Monday (July 21).

"There are strong grounds for believing that Mr Mahmood told me lies when he gave evidence," the judge said, adding that as a result, the case now "cannot go any further".
Southwark Crown Court heard that the trial had collapsed due to Judge Alistair McCreath's belief of "serious misconduct" on the part of undercover reporter Mazher Mahmood, a witness for the prosecution, at a pre-trial hearing.

"There are strong grounds for believing that Mr Mahmood told me lies when he gave evidence," the judge said, adding that as a result, the case now "cannot go any further".
The jury has now been formally discharged.
Former X Factor judge Contostavlos had pleaded not guilty to a charge of being concerned with the supply of class A drugs.
The singer always vehemently denied brokering the deal, which was reported in The Sun on Sunday newspaper in June 2013.
It was also confirmed that the case against Contostavlos's co-defendant Mike Coombs - aka Mike GLC - cannot now proceed.
