If Lorde‘s “Team” is a more idyllic version of “Lord Of The Flies” (just watch the video), then White Sea’s official remix of the single is a more idyllic version of “Lord Of The Flies” populated by cocktail-sipping adults.
White Sea (a.k.a. Morgan Kibby of M83) strips away some of the bouncing, pop sensibility from the jam, adding instead a soundscape of horns and a thrumming heartbeat that renders Lorde’s voice a ghostly echo.
