Visconti revealed to CNN that "There's gonna be a new album, definitely... soon." but he failed to give an exact date.
Visconti also played down any notion of the legendary rocker touring in the near future: "I don't think he's gonna busk in the Tube ... on the Underground. As far as a concert is concerned I have no idea."
Rumours of Bowie's ill health were also rubbish by the music producer: "I saw him in the 10-year period when we didn't work together and he was really happy about taking a break. He was in fine health."
Last year, Bowie released The New Day, his first new album in a decade without any prior warning or promotion. It received rave reviews.
Visconti has recently announced he will be touring the UK to perform Bowie's famous Man Who Sold the World album in full.
Bowie has also recently announced a new single and career-spanning box set, confirming brand new track 'Sue (or In A Season Of Crime)' to be taken from the upcoming retrospective collection Nothing Has Changed .
