The big screen adaptation of the popular video game has been pushed back several times.
Michael Fassbender - who will star in the big screen adaptation of the game - assured fans in August that the project is still going ahead and that the script is currently being developed.
"Nothing has changed," he said. "I'm still a part of Assassin's Creed, and we're working on the script as we speak. Actually, I'm going to go back and see the writers when I get back to Europe."
Fox has also announced that its X-Men spinoff Deadpool will be release on February 12, 2016.
