Sometimes outfit choices are only good in theory.
For example, boxer Floyd Mayweather stepped out in Paris yesterday donning a questionable wardrobe, but it probably seemed like a great idea in his head. Hey, I'm gonna rock this burgundy long-sleeve with a huge brown vest, some skinny jeans and then tie in my shirt with matching burgundy boots.
Oh, Floyd. Those matchy-matchy boots just aren't doing it (and let's not even mention the fact that he was wearing rainboots on a clear day). His ensemble quickly caught the eye of the Internet, and tweeters even began drawing comparisons to Mary J. Blige 's style (LOL!). So one question remains: Why?! Well, no one is exempt from a fashion faux pas, and it's not like he's the first person to take red boots and attempt to pull them off.
Just take a look at these other prime examples:
PHOTO: When Floyd Mayweather isn't rocking burgundy boots, he's sharing a bed with dead presidents
Ted Mosby: Who can forget Ted (Josh Radnor) and his infamous red cowboy boots on How I Met Your Mother? Nobody liked them. But Ted liked them, and that's all that mattered.
Mary Horowitz: Sandra Bullock's character in All About Steve had her signature red boots throughout the film, and they weren't that bad, to be honest. At least, not as bad as the film.
20th Century Fox
Jane Smith: OK, we all know Angelina Jolie can't do wrong, and unfortunately, such is the case here, too. While someone else standing outside in nothing but a man's white button-down and red Hunter rainboots may seem peculiar, Angie made it sexy and perfect. So unfair.

Cameron Diaz While the other examples were characters for TV shows and movies, this is real life. Granted it's a 12-year-old photo of the actress, but at one point in time Diaz thought it was a good idea to rock the bright red, knee-high boots with black fishnets and that scarf on the red carpet. It's not the worst we've seen, but it's not exactly good, either.

Jessica Simpson Back in 2006, during her Daisy Duke days, the celeb opted to wear a pair of slouchy burgundy cowboy boots to a show appearance. We just can't.
