Johnny Depp's Mortdecai release date moved forward

Johnny Depp -starrer Mortdecai has had its release date moved forward.

David Koepp's action comedy will now debut on January 23, 2015, two weeks earlier than originally scheduled.




As a result of the shift, The Age of Adaline with Harrison Ford and Blake Lively has been pushed back until April 24.

Depp plays a roguish art dealer on the hunt for a stolen painting that holds the code to a bank account full of Nazi gold in the adaptation of Kyril Bonfiglioli's novels.


The Lionsgate movie also stars Gwyneth Paltrow, Ewan McGregor, Olivia Munn and Paul Bettany.


Mortdecai was filmed in both London and Los Angeles.
