Lucy Lawless has expressed hopes of returning to Parks and Recreation for its final season.

Lawless has made several guest appearances in the NBC sitcom as Ron Swanson's (Nick Offerman) newest wife Diane Lewis.
"And Nick Offerman, what a prince of a man! All of them. Amy Poehler is one of the greatest producer/actor/writers there is. She's the one that sets the tone for everyone else."

Parks and Recreation will return for 13 final episodes in the mid-season to bring the story of Pawnee politician Leslie Knope (Amy Poehler) to a close.

Lawless has made several guest appearances in the NBC sitcom as Ron Swanson's (Nick Offerman) newest wife Diane Lewis.
The actress was recently asked by TV Line if she will appear in Parks and Recreation's final run.
"Oh, I hope so. I hope so," Lawless replied.
Lawless went on to say that she has enjoyed having a regular role in a comedy series, following her past work in darker fare like Battlestar Galactica and Top of the Lake .
"I loved that very much. It's a very special world, and I was very honoured to be part of it," she declared.
"And Nick Offerman, what a prince of a man! All of them. Amy Poehler is one of the greatest producer/actor/writers there is. She's the one that sets the tone for everyone else."
Lawless will have a role this fall in Marvel's Agents of SHIELD on ABC.
Parks and Recreation is expected to return in early 2015.
