Benben will appear in the ABC series' fourth season in a top secret role, EW reports.
Benben is slated to show up in an October episode of the heavily guarded political thriller.
The 58-year-old joins the ranks of prior Private Practice guest stars Katie Lowes, Jeff Perry, Kate Burton, Bellamy Young and Darby Stanchfield.
The new season will also see the addition of Mary Mouser, who replaces Madeline Carroll as the US first daughter.
Scandal will return to ABC on September 25 at 9 pm.
